Cancellation Policy
In-person attendance change or cancellation
If the participant cannot attend in-person the conference she/he can:
- ask for an attendance change
- cancel her/his registration.
Before September 29th:
- the in person fee paid will be converted in the corresponding virtual fee and the participant will receive back the difference (except for bank charges)
- the participant will be fully refunded (except for bank charges)
After September 29th and within October 10th an additional cancellation fee of 100 € will be subtracted to any refund.
After October 10th or no show: no refund will be due.
Virtual attendance cancellation
If the participant cannot attend the conference she/he can cancel her/his registration.
Before September 29th: the participant will be fully refunded (except for bank charges)
After September 29th and within October 10th an additional cancellation fee of 50 € will be subtracted to any refund.
After October 10th no refund will be due.
Covid -19 related change of conference organisation
If the conference cannot be organized as a hybrid event because of a new outbreak of the pandemics and consequent lock-down imposed by the Italian government, or if quarantine measures imposed by the Italian government or by the government of the participant’s country of residence make participation impracticable, the conference will be held virtually and already paid in person fees will be converted in the corresponding virtual fees and the participant will receive back the difference (except for bank charges).
The same policy will also be adopted if the in-person attendance doesn’t reach the minimum number required for the conference sustainability.
Name changes
A registered participant unable to attend the conference may nominate (free of charge) a substitute participant by notifying the Organizing Secretariat (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), before September 9th, 2016. The procedure includes giving the complete registration data of the new participant. However, no changes can be made to invoices which have already been issued.
Liability
Registered conference participants agree that neither the Organising Committee nor the conference Secretariat are liable or assume any responsibility for damage or injuries to persons or property during the conference. Participants are advised to arrange for their own health, travel and personal insurances. The Conference organization does not cover individuals against cancellation of bookings, theft or damage to belongings.

All best endeavours will be made to present the conference programme as published. However, the conference Organising Committee and Secretariat reserve the right to alter or cancel, without prior notice, any arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating directly or indirectly to the conference, for any cause beyond our reasonable control. The conference Organising Committee and Secretariat are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration.
